The month of November continued to bring the issue of pensions into public debate. Every Wednesday, protests were held in front of the Prime Minister’s Office, while the government organized meetings with pensioners and promised a tripling of the end-of-year bonus. Citizens.al dedicated profiles to the youth and women who joined the protests and analyzed the Prime Minister’s political approach. In his narrative, framed by the engagement “when will we talk,” he acted similarly to his strategy of undermining the cause during the student protests.

The “Rama-Meloni” agreement was temporarily suspended after Italian courts blocked the detention of migrants in the Gjader camp. Meanwhile, the murder of a minor after school hours outside the “Fan Noli” school in Tirana sparked public outrage over the lack of safety. Citizens.al amplified all the reactions while also analyzing the government’s stance, which placed the blame on social media for the incident.
